Goalless at Redditch….

HARRIERS’ pre-season continued with a quiet, goalless draw at Redditch United.
A contest that was undoubtedly useful in terms of fitness and match minutes for players on both sides, was lacking in key goal-scoring chances on a relatively uneventful night.
The best of the chances that did appear came mostly in the first half – Redditch hitting the post with an angled drive after 20 minutes after Amari Morgan-Smith had seen an effort blocked at the other end.
Six minutes later, only an expert save from the Redditch stopper denied Ashley Hemmings a headed goal, a close-range effort kept out superbly.
Hemmings hit wide again on 38 minutes before, with the best chance of the second half, Gerry McDonagh fired over after superb work inside the area to win the ball initially.
Harriers next face pre-season action next Tuesday (18th) with a trip to Halesowen Town (7:45pm).
