HARRIERS sealed the latest of late, last-gasp wins at Aggborough to secure a 1-0 victory over Wealdstone.

Amari Morgan-Smith scored in the third of three minutes added on at the end of the game to seal a big three points.

All told, it wasn’t an encounter for the purists in respect of key goalmouth chances. On the flipside, a disciplined display from the Reds limited a good footballing opposition to barely a chance or two, and Harriers held on to take their chance in the dying seconds.

Morgan-Smith might actually have had Harriers ahead inside six minutes. After good work by McDonagh, he pounced on the edge of the area and drilled a shot goalwards that Jed Ward between the sticks pushed away.

Micah Obiero struck wide for Wealdstone with a rare first half chance, before Bailey Hobson saw his effort inside the area blocked with 21 minutes played.

Christian Dibble didn’t have a huge amount to contend with during the afternoon, but earned his crust in the early part of the second half. It was a good double save with 51 minutes gone that saw him parry from Allarakhia before quickly finding his feet to deny Tahvon Campbell as he tried to finish on the follow-up. Seconds later, as if to underscore the point, another Dibble save came at the near post as Wealdstone pushed at a corner.

Harriers opportunities in the second half were also few and far between, but with 73 minutes played Ashley Hemmings did go close. Cutting inside, he went for goal from inside the area and Ward needed to be alert to turn the effort aside.

Another corner afforded Barry Maguire a chance but he put wide with six to play, before the pivotal moment arrived. Sammy Robinson was tasked with delivering a free kick into the area with just 92 minutes played – Morgan-Smith won it and, sliding to the floor, then swept the ball into the bottom corner to send Harriers into raptures.
