HARRIERS secured a richly-deserved point thanks to Amari Morgan-Smith’s late goal that netted a 1-1 draw.

The hosts started and finished the game on the front foot against the Coasters and had perhaps done enough to take all three points come the end.

In just the fifth minute there was a chance for a Harriers goal, a corner, well delivered, was met by Cole Kpekawa at the far post, but he was denied by a good, one-handed save by Theo Richardson.

With 11 gone, Fylde went close when Nick Haughton’s distance drive was beaten away by Dibble, the shot-stopper then clutching on to a Jon Ustabasi header.

Flyde went ahead on 33 minutes. A sweeping pass to set away Danny Ormerod had alarm bells ringing, Haughton on hand to step inside and power the ball beyond Dibble and into the net.

Behind at the break, Harriers were almost back level within 20 seconds of the restart as Regan Griffiths dropped a ball forward to Jack Lambert, whose angle shot was saved well by Richardson.

Four after the hour, Richardson was beaten by a firm drive from Jay Emmanuel-Thomas, but the upright came to the goalkeeper’s rescue with the frame left rattling.

Harriers kept the pressure on and were rewarded with seven left of normal time. An Ashley Hemmings delivery was inviting for Morgan-Smith, whose instinctive first-time finish was parried by Richardson, the striker quickest to react and power the ball home.

Two minutes later,  Harriers thought they’d clinched a winner as a deadly Sam Bellis ball was headed by Morgan-Smith, but Richardson superbly tipped it over the bar before an official’s  flag also intervened.

An inspired defensive block from Kpekawa denied Connor Barrett at the other end, but both sides were made to do with a point.
