PHIL Brown couldn’t be happier at extending the Aggborough stays of two big players in Christian Dibble and Ashley Hemmings.
Talisman Hemmings and shot-stopper Dibble have recently put pen to a paper on new contracts with the club.
It’s news that has delighted the gaffer, who knows he’s secured two big bits of business in nailing them down.
The two players and their manager now have big hopes and positive aims for the new term ahead.
Brown said: “Dibbs had a magnificent season, in his first full season as a professional where he could make sure he showed everybody that he’s a number one.
“He made sure of that without a shadow of a doubt and for me to retain the number one, as a number one, in a lower division was music to my ears.
“He’s all about promotion and taking the club do that and hopefully Dibbs can do that.”
On securing Hemmings, who re-signs having first arrived at Aggborough in 2019, the boss added: “Hemmo, at this level, and the next level in the National League, is a massive asset to us with his creativity.
“He’s exciting when he gets on the ball and is a fans favourite, he knows how to get people off their seats.
“I wouldn’t say he’s a great goal scorer, but I would say he’s a scorer of great goals.
“So long as he can bring that to the party next season, and I’m undoubtedly sure he will, we’ve got a fantastic acquisition.”
