ASHLEY Hemmings is setting his sights on an immediate return to the National League after re-signing with Harriers.
The popular performer put pen to paper on a new deal earlier this week.
It extends his stay in DY10 by another season, with the former Wolves youngster first settling here five years ago.
He bagged 15 goals in all competitions in our 2023-24 term and had no hesitation in sticking put despite the disappointment of relegation.
Reflecting on his attachment to the red and white of Harriers, he admitted to having eyes on only one goal for the new 24-25 campaign.
“It’s amazing,” he said of his new deal. “I think everybody knows how much Kidderminster means to me, joining in 2019.
“It’s been a great ride and I want to continue that.
“I fit in straight away. I felt the presence of the club, it’s a family cub.
“The fans are brilliant and the staff I’ve worked with, the players, it’s been incredible.
“For me, being a local lad as well, I want the best for the club. I know last season we got relegated but I can see we’ve got another opportunity to get promoted and I want to be involved in that.”
Hemmings has long been adored by the Aggborough faithful, and it’s evident he feels that connection deeply.
“The thing that I love about this club is that the fans will stick with us,” he added.
“We’ve got a great fan base. I know last season they [were] devastated, but they’ll be behind us to make sure that we get back up there.
“It will happen.”
