Exciting restructure for Harriers Women

Exciting developments for our Women’s section…

Head of Women's Football Matt Guise with new First Team Manager Andy Fisher

HARRIERS Women will head into the 2024-25 season with a new structure with the appointment of a new Head of Women’s Football and the arrival of a new First Team Manager.

Having been at the head of much of the development of the Women’s side last season, Matt Guise will continue this role by transitioning into the Head of Women’s Football role.

He’ll oversee the entire Women’s section at the club and be responsible for the sustainable growth of the pathway that feeds into the First Team.

Matt commented: “This is proud moment for me, being announced as Head of Women’s Football at Kidderminster Harriers.

“Over the last 12 months the commercial team and I have worked hard to build a structure that will support both the women’s team and the female junior section at the club.”

Another major development for Harriers Women ahead of the new campaign is the arrival of the vastly experienced and successful Andy Fisher as First Team Manager.

Fisher’s incredible achievements across two decades in girls and women’s football include his spell with near neighbours Stourbridge where, as Manager, he enjoyed three successive promotions, success in the League Cup and memorable FA Cup runs.

He added: “Kidderminster is a huge club, and I am proud to be part of it. I am excited to get started and I know the task ahead is a challenging one.

“The backing of the club is exceptional, and this was a leading factor in me taking the position. The Club are fully supportive of the growth of the women’s section.

“I look forward to putting the badge where it needs to be in the women’s game.”

Fisher has already secured a first addition to his backroom staff with Harry O’Neill becoming Head Coach, and player trials are taking place later this month (see below).

Congratulations to Matt and a huge, warm Harriers welcome to Andy and Harry!
