Harriers head to The Walks…

HARRIERS head to play-off chasing King’s Lynn Town on Tuesday night to continue their National League North campaign.
The Reds haven’t played in the league since the November 12th 4-0 victory over South Shields at Aggborough.
Since then, the boys ventured into FA Trophy action against Halesowen, and were left without a match on Saturday thanks to the postponement of the game at Scarborough.
After a ‘break’ from league action, then, it’s back to it with the long journey to The Walks to meet a Lynn side pushing to cement a place in the chasing pack.
They were 1-0 victors on home soil on Saturday as they overcame Southport to banish what had been a tricky start to November.
Lynn had lost at Chorley early in the month and suffered further league and FA Trophy defeats to Farsley, South Shields and Leamington.
That blip, however, has been as really been as bad as it’s got for them this season – they’ve otherwise put points together consistently to get themselves into the play-off places.
Intriguingly, the National League North is so tight that, results dependent, either Harriers or Lynn could go top of the table with a victory.
Harriers head to this part of Norfolk for the first time since the May 2023 play-off semi-final win, and their sixth meeting overall with this Lynn entity – though there were 19 previous matches against the Kings Lynn side of old between 1972 and 2008.
The Reds will remain in much the same shape squad wise as they were going into Saturday’s Scarborough game, with Assistant Boss Neil McDonald commenting the group were looking ‘competitive’ with the gradual return of Paul Downing.
Kick-off on Tuesday is at 7:45pm.
Away travel is available from Harriers up to and including Tuesday morning, while those unable to journey to King’s Lynn can watch the game with us at The Harriers Arms.
