Recap: Rushall 1-2 Harriers

A look back to Friday

Harriers dug in deep to pick up an important 2-1 win at Rushall Olympic to take over at the top of National League North.

In something of a scrap at Dales Lane, Ashley Hemmings broke the deadlock at a vital time – added time at the end of the first half – to put the boys ahead and extend his phenomenal scoring run for the season to 33.

David Davis notched for just the second time this season after the hour, but his effort was no less vital as it helped secure a result in front of a stunning away following of more than 1,000.

Harriers must now prepare for a final two games of the season – starting at home to Hereford on Bank Holiday Monday – with all still to play for.
