A look ahead to Monday

HARRIERS and Hereford meet for the 13th time since the Bulls reformation when the two collide at Aggborough on Easter Monday.
Always a fairly tight affair in DY10, the most recent clash at Aggborough came in New Year 2023 when the sides played out a 1-1 draw.
The meetings to-date have all been National League North affairs, in contrast to the rich history of clashes dating back to the Southern League days of the late 1930s.
After the demise of the ‘old’ Hereford United, the Bulls were reborn and have soared through the divisions since, and now look a safe bet for this season’s play-offs after a record-best Step 2 finish under Paul Caddis last term.
Earlier this season Harriers enjoyed the better day on Boxing Day as they won the return game 3-0 at Edgar Street, but Caddis has presided over some superb form for the men in black and white in recent months.
In fact, the success of their season to-date has been built on the back of two fine runs. From the end of January, they were beaten just once in ten National League North games before a four-match winless run.
They brushed off that sluggishness in style, though, by seeing off Curzon Ashton 3-1 in March and are now unbeaten in five, a stretch which includes a 3-0 home win over Leamington last time out.
And so it moves to Monday: both sides boasting players who’ve played for both sides of the Herefordshire and Worcestershire derby, and with plenty on the line.
Phil Brown confirmed Maz Kouhyar missed Saturday’s win at Rushall Olympic through illness and will be assessed ahead of the game against his former club.
Kick off at Aggborough on Monday is at 3:00pm.
