Disability football sessions start this week

Enjoy football and make new friends in a safe inclusive environment….

Our Comets disability football sessions start next week – come along and join the Harriers Family!

The sessions provide for a fun, friendly, and safe space where you can be you! Our sessions are all about laughter, making new friends, and trying new activities with no pressure – just lots of FUN.

Whether you love games, getting creative, or just having a chat, there’s something for everyone as our expert Lead Coach, David Healey begins the Harriers programme.

Starting on Thursday, 17th July at COSE, Harriers Comets offer recreational, pan-disability football sessions for disabled children aged 5-11.

The programme is focused on helping disabled children have fun, whilst building confidence, independence and social relationships. Comets provides an environment in which participants can feel safe and belong.

Pan-disability is the largest format of disability football, which sees players with a broad range of impairments and health conditions play together.

A dedicated space at COSE will host the Comet sessions

All sessions are delivered by FA qualified coaches, who have received specific programme training and guidance to provide a safe place for disabled children to try football for the first time and develop key skills.

Players interested in taking part can register in advance by e-mailing academy@harriers.co.uk or by turning up on the night.

We can’t wait to see you!
