HARREIRS secured three valuable points on the road with a 1-0 win at Curzon Ashton, substitute Luke Spokes firing a fine second-half winner.
The first half proved a stern test for Harriers. Curzon began the brighter of the two sides and had the better of slender first half openings.
Efforts from Tom Weston and James Spencer forcing the visitors to defend firmly. Jordan Tunnicliffe was alert to clear off the line when Spencer turned and shot on the angle, while Christian Dibble produced a sharp save just before the interval to deny Charlie Weston.
Harriers had sights of their own in a half of few clear chances, Seb Thompson breaking forward on 37 minutes to send an effort over the bar.
After a goalless first half boss Adam Murray made changes at the break that would prove decisive. Amari Morgan-Smith, Spokes and Pierce Bird joined Ryley Reynolds – introduced earlier for Jason Adigun – in giving Harriers fresh impetus.
Reynolds soon tested goalkeeper Callum Hawkins, before Curzon substitute Bradley Holmes snatched an effort wide.
Harriers then went close when Emeka Obi met a Joe Foulkes cross, the loose ball dropping to Tunnicliffe who could only scuff it wide.
The breakthrough came on 76 minutes. Kia Innocent threaded a pass through to Spokes, who rifled a low strike into the bottom corner from the edge of the area, bagging his first goal in club colours.
Curzon pushed for a leveller late on, Spencer slicing wide from close range, but Harriers stood strong to see the game out professionally and secure a fine away victory.
