KIDDERMINSTER Harriers Women can confirm that manager Andy Fisher will step down as manager upon the conclusion of the 2025/26 season.
Since joining Harriers Women ahead of the 2024/25 season, Fisher has enjoyed a successful spell at the club, guiding the team to a league and county cup double, achieving Tier 4 football for the first time in the club’s history, and leading the side on a memorable FA Cup run.
Under his guidance, Harriers Women have continued to build on their strong foundations, achieving historic successes on the pitch, while strengthening pathways for young players and further developing the women’s side of the club.
The team’s ambition and performance during his time as manager have become a source of pride for the supporters and local community. Fisher has played a key role in building a positive culture that will continue to benefit the club long after his departure.
Fisher has enjoyed a highly successful career spanning over two decades, including a spell with neighbours Stourbridge Women where he enjoyed three successive promotions, success in the League Cup and memorable FA Cup runs. His leadership and dedication have left a lasting impact within the teams he has managed, and on women’s football as a whole.
Fisher will continue to lead Harriers through the remaining fixtures this season, focussing on ensuring the squad remains fully focused and prepared for the challenges ahead.
Reflecting on his decision, Fisher said: “It’s been a pleasure to have been part of such a big club in the area. Being part of what we have created over the last 18 months is just the icing on top of a successful time.
“Achieving promotion to the National League in the first 12 months was an incredible achievement for everyone involved and provided the club with something they had targeted for many years, topped off with a County Cup win and a memorable FA Cup run.
“The biggest challenge now is to ensure Kidderminster stay up, and sustain their National League status, and my final chapter is to continue to ensure that’s the case.
“Regardless, it has been a memorable journey and a great achievement for everyone involved over the past 18 months. To have been manager of the women’s team at such a big club like Kidderminster has been a pleasure.”
Head of Women’s Football Matt Guise commented: “Andy has made a tremendous contribution to Kidderminster Harriers Women during his time at the club. I’ve personally really enjoyed working alongside him over the past two seasons and watching the progress the team has made under his leadership.
“Achieving promotion to Tier 4 for the first time in the club’s history was a fantastic moment for everyone involved, and that success, along with the league and county cup double, FA Cup run and many other highlights, will always be an important part of the club’s story.
“Just as importantly, Andy has helped strengthen the culture within the women’s section and supported the development pathway for young players coming through the club. We’re extremely grateful for the commitment and professionalism he has shown throughout his time here.
“On a personal level, Andy will remain a close friend and I very much hope we’ll continue to see him at plenty of games in the future supporting the team.”
Further updates will be provided in due course.
