Former Gillingham man Montrose wasted no time settling into life with Harriers after joining last summer, and played all bar one of last season’s matches.

He ended the term as skipper and signed a new deal soon after, with Penn saying: “It’s massive for us to have him with us next season, it’s a boost to the team and the club as a whole.”

The influential midfielder counts York, Wycombe and Stockport among his other former clubs.
