HARRIERS Ladies exited the FA Cup despite a spirited performance against Cursaders on Sunday.
The higher-graded opposition came to Lea Castle for a First Qualifying Round tie and were made to work hard for their slender 1-0 success.
Still boosted by their 4-1 win over Solihull Sporting in the previous round, Harriers began confidently but were behind to the game’s only goal inside 15 minutes.
An even game saw Harriers move into the ascendancy in the second period but, despite plenty of chances, were let down by that all-important, crucial cutting edge in front of goal.
The Reds move into their opening game of the season next weekend with a home clash against Sedgley & Gornal.
