FA Cup: Harriers set for Sporting Khalsa

Confirmation of Monday’s FA Cup draw as Harriers are handed an away tie…

HARRIERS will travel to Sporting Khalsa in the Emirates FA Cup Second Qualifying Round later this month.

It marks the first game in a Cup competition for Russ Penn’s men this season, while Khalsa sealed their place in this stage with a 2-1 victory over Gainsborough Trinity on Saturday.

That had come on the back of two wins in Preliminary Rounds for the Northern Premier Midlands side, a 3-2 success over Market Drayton followed by a thrilling 4-3 win at home to Yaxley.

Khalsa are currently in mid-table in their early league season with six points from their first five games – their division topped by Halesowen Town who’ve had a storming start to the term.

Managed by Ian Rowe, Sporting Khalsa play their home games at the Guardian Warehousing Arena in Willenhall and count former Harrier Gurjit Singh among their playing ranks.

The FA Cup tie will be played on Saturday, 18 September at 3pm. Harriers fans will be able to purchase tickets from the hosts, with full details to be confirmed shortly.
