Tuesday: Harriers v AFC Fylde

A look ahead to Tuesday night’s fixture against AFC Fylde…

THE SEASON resumes on Tuesday night as Harriers host AFC Fylde at Aggborough in National League North.

It’s the first action for either side for around ten days following the postponement of last weekend’s matches following the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

Things kick back off in quite some style as the high-flying Coasters come to Aggborough looking to build on an excellent start to the new season.

James Rowe’s men are once again favourites for the National League North title, and have won four of their six matches thus far.

Indeed their very recent form is as you’d expect – they have beaten Chester, Southport and AFC Telford in their last three outings, and conceded just once in the process.

Excited for the tough challenge ahead at Aggborough, boss Russ Penn comments in tonight’s match programme: “They were right up there all last season in the promotion places and are rightly again favourites this season as well.

“They have a great squad and qualities throughout, so it will be a big test for us tonight.”

Penn had said prior to the planned Scarborough fixture that both Tom Owen-Evans and Alex Penny were back training fully with the squad, but that the former was likely closer to a playing return than the latter.

Harriers will themselves be looking to build on a strong last result, the 4-1 thumping of Spennymoor Town.

Kick-off at Aggborough is at 7:45pm
