HARRIERS secured a useful 2-2 pre-season friendly draw with League 1 Northampton on Tuesday thanks to two second half goals.
A quiet first half was punctuated with two Northampton goals – the first early on as a deft Hoskins finish after just five minutes put the Cobblers ahead.
That was a lead they extended in superb style on 19 minutes when Appéré excellently curled a free kick inside the near post.
Harriers were brighter after the break and, not long after the hour, went close when Zak Brown forced a strong stop from the goalkeeper at close range. From the resultant corner, Krystian Pearce reduced the arrears.

On 76 minutes the home side were level. Good energy and an even better cross from one sub in Oxlade-Chamberlain set up another in Hemmings – thanks to a touch from Richards – the talisman firing home with the aid of a deflection.
Pre-season ends on Saturday with the trip to AFC Telford.
