HARRIERS have bagged the loan signing of Motherwell midfielder Barry Maguire until January.
The 25-year-old is a product of The Well Academy system, having progressed through the ranks at Fir Park to make 60 Scottish Premiership appearances and the better of 100 for the club overall.
Last season he went out on loan to Dundee United in the Scottish Championship and helped them clinch promotion to the top flight.
With three League Cup appearances already under his belt for Motherwell this term, Maguire comes to Aggborough in search of more first team action.
“Barry will be a great addition,” explained boss Russ Penn of the former Scottish U21 International

“We’ve been chasing him for a good ten days now. We were in conversation with him while Shane Byrne was fit so it’s not a replacement, it’s an add-on.
“It’s coincided with Shane getting injured, so we’ve had to snowball it a little bit. We’ve fought off a lot of competition for Barry and he’s come down and really likes the look of the club, and the drive we have here.
“He has a good presence, a good size and has played plenty of games for Motherwell and had a couple of good loans.
