HARRIERS can confirm that striker Kieran Phillips has been recalled from his loan spell with Havant & Waterlooville.

Philips has been with Havant since early November and has grabbed his share of game time there, along with a few goals.

With the arrival of new boss Phil Brown, Phillips has now been brought back to Aggborough and will be available for the game against Aldershot Town this weekend.

“We haven’t got goals in the team and he’s a striker – I want to have a look at everybody,” explained Brown.

“I’ll give these players an opportunity and, where they thought they were a million miles away from the first team, they might think they’re a little bit closer.

“If they think they’re a little bit closer then they might give me a little bit of something and I can say ‘go on, then, you’re in the team on Saturday.”

Harriers have also been dealt a blow with the news that Bailey Hobson has been recalled from his loan by Chesterfield.

Brown added: “It’s testimony to what Bailey has done for himself because I think he’s been involved in about 20 games this season.

“Somebody that’s run 13 kilometresin a game of football [as Bailey did on Saturday] is going to catch people’s attention.

“I’d like to thank him for his efforts; I’ve watched him on Saturday and had a couple of days with him on the training ground, you’ve seen his attitude and his mentality, and it’s an example for what he’s left behind.”

All at Harriers would like to thank Bailey for his commitment to Harriers during his loan spell and wish him well for the future.
