PHIL Brown was happy to see his side control much of their pre-season friendly win at AFC Telford.
The Reds picked up a 1-0 win against The Bucks and had more than enough opportunities to make the victory more comfortable.
While accepting that was one disappointment, the Aggborough chief was, on the whole, very satisfied with the night’s work, particularly with the football on show on what was a pristine Telford pitch.
“What I shock I got when I walked in tonight,” he said after the game. “It’s the first time I’ve been here to the ground and the surface is fantastic.
“We’re trying to create a style of play that’ll put bums on seat sat Aggborough and, as a player, if you don’t want to play for Kidderminster Harriers in a certain kind of way, it would’ve found you out tonight and it certainly didn’t find us out.
“I thought we were dominant, apart from a mistake in the first minute when we’ve had to clear the ball off the line a couple of times.
“I thought we dominated possession and the game and created some great chances and opportunities but have put the ball in the back of the net only once which is the disappointing part.
“But it’s still that winning mentality and it’s a nice feeling; I’m delighted with the progress we’ve made in a short space of time on the training ground and the players we’ve had.
“It was a very interesting game and one we can take a lot of credit from.”
Pre-season continues as Harriers host Newport County at Aggborough on Saturday, 2pm. Get your tickets.
