Luke Summerfield update

PHIL Brown confirmed on Tuesday night that Luke Summerfield had been taken to hospital for X-rays after his injury in the win over Buxton. 

The midfielder was withdrawn after ten minutes following a challenge in the 2-0 victory that left him unable to continue.

Summerfield received treatment at Aggborough before being taken to hospital, though the Harriers manager refused to speculate as to the extent of any damage until further clarity was achieved.

“He’s waiting for an X-ray so I’m not going to be the bearer of bad news at the moment,” he said after the game, confirming that he and members of the squad would be visiting the player in hospital.

We’ll provide updates on Luke Summerfield’s condition as and when we have them and wish him well for a speedy recovery.
