HARRIERS Academy have boosted their coaching staff with the arrival of two vastly experienced former pros – and Reds players!
Jim Kellermann and Paul Downing have joined the Academy coaching staff and will be working closely with the full-time U19 side, supporting the development of all youth players alongside another respected name in Leon Clarke who is already part of the coaching structure.
Kellerman is a midfielder with top-level experience across English and Scottish football, from Wolves’ Academy to Aldershot Town, St Mirren, Woking, Chesterfield, and, of course, here at Harriers. A true box-to-box player, Jim is recognised for his energy, vision, and technical quality in midfield.
Downing brings huge experience from the Football League, with over 380 senior appearances and was a significant part of last season’s Harriers first team squad. A natural leader and commanding defender, Paul will be passing on his wealth of knowledge to help shape our young Harriers.
Interested in working with Paul, Jim, Leon and the rest of the Harriers Academy coaching team? Our next trial date for the 2026-27 season is on 30th October and applications are now being taken.
