AFTER entering the Cup at the First Qualifying Round stage, it’s been an exciting run so far for the young Reds.
Harriers came back from 4-1 down to make it 4-4 against Hereford Pegasus, before coming out on top in the penalty shootout. Their reward was another Aggborough tie, this time against Chasetown.
After finding themselves 2-0 down in the first half, a penalty from Bruce Minnaker reduced arrears as the young Reds headed into the interval 2-1 down.
Heading into the final moments of the game, it looked as if Harriers were set for Cup exit before goalkeeper James Crump scored from his own half to force the game to penalties following a 2-2 draw.
His heroics continued into the shootout, saving a penalty, which saw the side book their place in the upcoming final qualifying round.
Harriers Under-18s will now battle fellow Worcestershire side Worcester City FC Under-18s in the Third Round Qualifying, where the winner will earn themselves a place in the First Round Proper of the FA Youth Cup.
Come and support the young Reds as they look to continue their exciting Cup run at Aggborough today, Tuesday, 14th October (7:30pm kick-off). Read full ticketing details, or book your tickets now.
