HARRIERS are pleased to confirm that this weekend’s match with Chorley at Aggborough will be a dedicated Community Day.
The Magpies come to town on Saturday, 29th November in National League North and, to celebrate the best of our local area, Harriers have teamed with some of the most inspirational members of the community for what promises to be a special occasion.
Ahead of kick off at 3pm, fans attending the game will, an addition to the usual Aggborough atmosphere, be able to take part in a number of pre-match activities which include:
- A local Foodbank Collection in conjunction with Harriers Foundation, our official community charity.
- A clothing recycling point for supporters to donate any unwanted items of clothing.
- The Movember Shanty Buoys – a 25-man local Sea Shanty choir – who will perform as part of their campaign in support of Movember, a charity supporting men’s mental and physical health activities.
- Attendance of local police personnel with a police vehicle and clothing for kids to try!
- Harriers Foundation community face painters, games and challenges to enjoy
- £1 admission to all those U12 as part of our Kids for a Quid initiative (when accompanied by a paying supporter), while those U16 can attend from just £5.
The club are pleased to confirm that to help as many of the club’s most local supporters to enjoy the occasion in DY10, 200 free match tickets are being distributed to households immediately adjacent to Aggborough.
Don’t forget, already in operation is the club’s Kids for a Quid initiative which sees all those U12 admitted for just £1 when accompanied by a paying adult or concession. Admission for U16s is also from just £5.
General Manager Paul Biggerstaff said: “We’re proud of our place at the heart of the local community. While we’re incredibly fortunate to be able to call on support from across the Wyre Forest, the Midlands, the rest of the UK and even far beyond, including our amazing Harriers of Norway, we really want to give something back to our nearest neighbours.
“Giving away 200 free tickets to them gives our most local supporters the chance to not only come and watch a game of football at Aggborough but to also come and join us as we celebrate the best of our community.”
Match tickets for Harriers v Chorley are on sale now.
