PAUL Wotton has made his first new signing as Harriers boss with the acquisition of attacking midfielder Callum Dolan.
The 25-year-old worked closely with the Aggborough boss at Torquay United, the Gulls sitting at or near the top of the table for much of the term prior to Wotton’s departure, the playing a part up right up to their Promotion Final defeat.
Callum featured for Altrincham and Oldham earlier in his career but found particularly impressive form in non-league for Warrington Rylands, a bag full of goals helping to secure his move to Fleetwood Town for an undisclosed fee.
Loan spells with Oldham and Altrincham followed before a permanent switch to Torquay. He finished the term with eight goals in 28 games in all competitions as the Plainmoor outfit went within minutes of promotion to the National League.
“He’s a player I trust,” Wotton said of his new arrival, who joins subject to FA and league approval.
“He can play in three positions, in midfield, as a ten and he can play wide. He wants to win and will put his foot in, but he’s got ability as well.
“He’s somebody I think an awful lot of, and I’m thrilled to get him through the door.”
Welcome to Aggborough, Callum!
