Harriers Ladies picked up a victory against a resilient and solid Droitwich Spa Ladies on Sunday, keeping up the pressure on league leaders Stourbridge.
On a difficult surface, Harriers were ahead within 15 minutes through Hannah Ashman, but Droitwich defended well and made it hard for Harriers to add to their scoreline.
Danni Selmes eventually gave Harriers a two-goal cushion with half an hour played – that’s how the score remained at half time.
Indeed it took until 75 minutes to find the net again, this time through Molly Maguire, before Selmes got her second and her team’s fourth with little time to spare, leaving the scoreline at 4-0.
Next up for the Ladies is a trip to face Kingfisher on Sunday 9th February.
