BOSS John Eustace was pleased with what he saw from his Harriers side in Saturday’s competitive pre-season game against Burnley.
With the new season now just a couple of weeks away, the Premier League Clarets won 1-0 at Aggborough Stadium.
Manny Sonupe struck the woodwork for the hosts, who worked up a number of chances against their higher-graded opposition.
The manager spoke after the final whistle and was impressed with the work out from his team’s perspective.
“I was really pleased with the efforts,” he said, speaking to our YouTube channel.
Good quality
“We’re playing against a Premier League team with such good quality.
“It was a really good test for the young boys.
“I was delighted with the way we played and the way we pressed – it was a good work-out.” John Eustace
“I was delighted with the way we played and the way we pressed – it was a good work-out.
“The lads worked hard and are getting fitter and fitter; the football at times was great but there is still lots to work on.”
Sharp
Dan Nti played the first half at Aggborough after a brief spell out with injury.
The gaffer was pleased to have him back, adding: “He had a great 45.
“He’s looked really sharp since he’s come back into training.
“We brought him off after 45 minutes today and hopefully we can give him a little bit longer [against Birmingham City] on Wednesday.”
