Jimmy O'Connor is looking for Harriers to build upon a positive result last weekend as they face Alfreton Town at Aggborough.

Last time out, Harriers travelled to the New Bucks Head to face an in-from AFC Telford United side, but, thanks to a solitary early Nick Clayton-Phillips goal, all three points would return to Worcestershire.

On the victory, Harriers' first since New Year's Day, O'Connor stated the importance of the togetherness shown.

"It was exciting to say the least - a bit nerve wracking at the end, but I thought the whole group stuck together really well - they dug in to see the game through," said O'Connor.

"In those situations its about being tight knit on the pitch, being as vocal as you can.

"It's the same from the bench, I'm not sure how much the lads actually heard but you're screaming and trying to pass messages on".

Harriers head into the match sat in 8th position in the league table, and the men from the Impact Arena sit in 16th.

O'Connor is fully aware of that every team in the National League North poses different challenges, so stressed that the preparation must be done properly to give Harriers the best platform heading into the match.

"If you get a positive result, you want to build on that so it's important to enjoy those moments, but we're also aware that we can be much better," admitted O'Connor.

"Unless we can use that as a building block to become better and better, then we're not going to get to where we want to get.

"The circumstances of having a couple of injuries and suspensions, we had a couple of young lads coming in who were fantastic.

"The key is doing the right things day in, day out, and putting all of the preparation in place to give yourself a chance of putting on good performances and ultimately getting good results.

"Every team in this division offers their own problems to deal with and it will be no different on Saturday - they've got some decent players, especially going forwards".

Harriers are able to welcome Ryan Johnson back to the squad after the defender served his three-match ban.

Kane Richards, however, still has two matches of his suspension to serve.

Billy Daniels is on course for a return inside a fortnight after a lengthy lay-off, while Ed Williams is back in training and is likely to feature if not this weekend, then next.

Jimmy O'Connor remains out longer-term, while Kennedy Digie's strain isn't too far from being cleared.

Brandon Hall and Tom Palmer both have concerns going into the game but, should either one or both fail to make it, new signings Jake Weaver and Kieran Boucher will step in to the void.

Kick-off at Aggborough on Saturday is at 3:00pm
