HARRIERS head for Guiseley on Tuesday with Jimmy Shan taking his new team on the road for the first time.

Shan was in the dugout for the first time as Harriers lost 3-1 to Boston on Saturday.

With the thirst for points only worsening for the Reds, the team must now make the tough trip to a Guiseley side who are, themselves, looking to bounce back from defeat.

The Lions were beaten 2-0 at Nethermoor by Brackley Town at the weekend.

Kick-off on Tuesday is at 7:45pm.

Sam Austin on Boston and Guiseley:

"I thought we played better [on Saturday] and created a lot more chances than we have been; we just couldn't put them away.

"[Tuesday is] going to be a tough game and we're going to be ready for it.

"We'll do our work on them and our work on the training ground, and look to get the win."

Harriers will be forced to sweat on the fitness of Ash Hemmings after he was forced off during the defeat to Boston United on Saturday.

Boss Jimmy Shan said the player will be assessed prior to the game, as will Rich Peniket and Ed Williams who are looking to return after spells out.

The opposition eye...

Tuesday night's hosts are another team searching for form in National League North - this after a flying start to the campaign that saw them in and around the top spots.

The 26-year-old swept up at the Guiseley end of season awards last term, after an impressive campaign there before his move to Aggborough.

Current Lions defender, Kennedy Digie, is an Academy graduate from Harriers, while former striker Adam Boyes has turned out for both teams.

Ex-Guiseley manager Marcus Bignot was twice a Harriers player, while Jermaine Hylton came through the Harriers ranks before going on to play for Guiseley.

Darryn Stamp and Ben Whitfield have also featured on both sides of this particular divide.

The head-to-head record makes pretty grim reading for anyone looking to make the journey up to support Harriers on Tuesday night.

The teams have met just six times since 2007, but Harriers have yet to win a single league encounter - their only success being a 2-1 victory in the FA Trophy on their route to Wembley.

Last season saw Harriers beaten 2-1 at Aggborough before sealing a decent, goalless draw at Nethermoor.
