Harriers Chairman Colin Gordon throws back on the Manager’s hat this summer as the England Powerchair team prepare for the FIPFA World Cup in Orlando.

Colin and Harriers Football Development Director, Adam Crowle, are part of the coaching staff for the Three Lions team.

They all set out to Florida for the competition which kicks off on July 5th.

Colin and Adam have helped guide the team for a number of years and the duo along with their side face the challenge of competing in the group stage alongside Ireland, Australia, France and Canada.

“The FA have spent a fortune to get us there and we have great support,” Colin explained.

“It’s a sport that is growing at a rapid rate and it is very interesting to watch”  Colin Gordon on the FIPFA World Cup

“We’re now off to try and match Paul Simpson in bringing a World Cup back to England!

“We’ve had a Euros before but now this is the big, big stage and [disability football] is flying; the WFA have two national leagues and there are nearly 80 teams.

“It’s a sport that is growing at a rapid rate and it is very interesting to watch.

“I really enjoy it – it’s a very professional set-up and the FA have been absolutely brilliant.”
