We’re pleased to confirm that vastly experienced manager Mark Yates is to re-join Harriers as Coach of the club’s new U23 team.

Mark, who was boss here at Aggborough Stadium between 2006 and 2010, has managed well over 500 matches in non-league and the Football League, going on to spend time in the dugout at Cheltenham and Crawley Town after leaving Harriers.

He’ll work full-time with our emerging U23 side who will train daily whilst studying on the club’s Higher Education programme.

The team will be playing regular friendly matches up and down the country while being closely monitored by the first-team management here at Aggborough, while it’s hoped players will also be able to gain first-team experience with local non-league clubs in the area.

Mark has already had a busy start; as well as training he also takes his team to Lilleshall on Tuesday lunchtime to meet Next Level Soccer Ltd.

The U23 side will also be represented by a handful of players at Tuesday’s Worcestershire Senior Cup match at Redditch United, while also being scheduled for upcoming matches at Worcester City and Pershore Town.
