JOHN EUSTACE called the defeat to Nuneaton Town on Tuesday night “a massive wake-up call.”
Harriers are without a win or a goal so far this season following a dramatic, late reverse against Town.
Ashley Chambers netted in the 91st minute to condemn the reds to successive 1-0 defeats at the start of this new term.
While the night’s performance wasn’t without its positives, it was clear the boss was an unhappy man at the final whistle.
He called upon the group – both players and staff – to regroup quickly.
“I was disappointed with the performance,” he reflected.
“It is a massive wake-up call for us all, really.
“That first-half performance wasn’t good enough and conceding right at the end was disappointing.
“I don’t think we’ve deserved to lose either of the games so far but the performances, on the whole, haven’t been good enough.
“It’s my job to sort it out.
“We’ve got to work hard, the lads have got to learn from their mistakes and my mistakes.
“We will put it right sooner rather than later.”
