HARRIERS endured a defeat in the Bank Holiday heat as they went down 2-0 at Brackley Town.
The home side, unbeaten so far this term, had the better of the game and lead at half time thanks to a goal from Lee Ndlovu – his clever header beating Brandon Hall from a free-kick.
Andre Brown’s chance near the end of the break was as close as the injury-hit visitors – without Dan Bradley, Joe Ironside and Joel Taylor – came as he sent a header just wide of the target – before which Daly’s timely interception prevented a second.
Although Harriers did begin the second half more brightly, their momentum never translated to clear-cut chances.
In the end, on the break, Brackley put the game beyond doubt via the head of James Armson as he stooped inside the area to send a looping, dropping header past Hall and into the far corner.
