THE ENGLAND Colleges national team is holding its first trials on Thursday, and we’re delighted to have five of our own youngsters involved!
Harriers players Ewan Mountjoy, Harry Stratford, Tom Smith, Reiss Taylor-Randle and Curtis Smith will all be making their way to Brooksby Melton College in Leicestershire where the trials are taking place.
All the boys are just 16 years of age and have already starred this season in Harriers Academy and FA Youth Cup matches.
ECFA coaches will run the rule over them and over 100 other budding young talents from across the country.
Their tough task is to whittle this number down, eventually to just 24 – the final squad getting to tour Romania and Italy!
Harriers Chief Operating Officer Adam Crowle said: “The lads have justified their selection with their performances this season and the effort they’ve put in.
“They know what it is all about; they’ve worked really hard and they deserve this chance today.”
