Harriers’ Junior teams continued to flourish as there were goals, wins and excitement all around this past weekend.
On Remembrance weekend, our older Junior sides were without league action and took part in entertaining friendly matches instead.
As a result, it was down to the younger groups within the system to fly the Harriers flag in the Junior Premier League – it’s safe to say they didn’t disappoint!
The game of the week certainly took place at Aston Villa where our Under 11s took part in an end-to-end and all-round top, entertaining game of football against a very strong Aston Villa Girls Under 12s side.
Both coaches and players came away from the fixture with a huge amount of confidence with the way they played, creating numerous chances via great patterns of play and link-up whilst also defending tremendously. They have been working hard with their lead coach Ryan Simmonds over the last few months and the effort they are putting in on the training ground is coming to the fore.
