Harriers may have noticed two young faces on the bench for Tuesday night’s game against North Ferriby United.

Harriers Academy players Harry Stratford and Harry Higginson were both named in the squad for the 4-0 win at Aggborough.

The duo are the latest in a handful of Harriers Academy and U23 players to be involved in first-team squads as the programmes of Higher and Further Education mixed with football continue to flourish.

18-year-old Higginson, a central defender, has been a regular in our U19 set-up and has been involved in Andy Whing’s U23 team, while 16-year-old midfielder Stratford features for our Academy teams as well as this term’s FA Youth Cup.

Don’t forget you can keep up to date with every one of our Youth and Academy teams by using the tags (found at the foot of this page).

Aged 16-18 and interested in joining our Academy? E-mail Andy Blakeley for details for our upcoming trial date.
