John Eustace has hailed the achievements of Ryan Croasdale after the skipper captained England C to victory in Wales this week.
The 23-year-old joined Harriers defender Fraser Horsfall in the Three Lions squad this week as they won a 3-2 thriller at Barry Town against a Welsh outfit.
Given so much of the talent in the England set-up is comprised of National League talent, it ranks as a real reflection of Croasdale’s abilities that he was chosen to lead out his country.
That’s not a fact lost on the gaffer, who commented: “Everyone at the club was delighted for Ryan.
“For a player at this level to not only be selected to play, but to captain a group of players from across non-league football, at his young age is a fantastic achievement and one he thoroughly deserves.
“He is someone who leads by example and has done terrifically for us.” Ryan Croasdale
“Personally, I am very proud of him, and so are the staff and players here – I think our fans should be, too.
“He is someone who leads by example and has done terrifically for us.”
Horsfall’s inclusion continues his own rapid progression this season after the youngster signed, initially on loan, from Huddersfield near the start of the term.
The gaffer added: “It was great to see Fraser start that game.
“He has had a great season so far and is really progressing a player.”
