Young Harriers Netherlands adventure

A great experience for some of our young Harriers…

Over the Easter weekend, over 50 young Harriers players and their coaches made the trip to The Netherlands to take part in the Easter Open International Youth Tournament.

Our U14s, U15s and U16s teams all made the journey to partake in the two day tournament against teams from all across Europe.

The three teams played at different venues located over the South of The Netherlands, and all played against opposition that was a year above themselves.

Saturday saw the group stages take place, which consisted of three matches, each containing two 18 minute halves.

U14s breezed through the group stages, winning all three matches and scoring a total of 23 goals in the process. U15s picked up two wins and one loss, but also qualified for the finals on day two, as did U16s, who won two matches and drew one to qualify.

On Sunday, our U15s put on three battling performances against strong opposition, winning one of their three matches, meaning they finished the tournament in a respectable sixth place.

Additionally, our U16s finished in third place overall on day two to pick a trophy, and our U14s were crowned as champions of their tournament to bring more silverware back to Worcestershire!
