Eustace: “Approach each game the same”

Eustace looks ahead to Tamworth…

Harriers manager John Eustace insists he is focusing only on one match at a time ahead of Saturday’s test against Tamworth.

The Lambs currently sit just above the National League North relegation zone in 18th place, one point above 20th placed AFC Telford United.

Harriers head into the game in good form, having picked up four wins from the previous five matches. But with just four matches remaining this season, Eustace stressed that focus is remaining firmly on the team’s next task in hand.

“…I’m not interested in anything apart from the game against Tamworth on Saturday…” John Eustace

Eustace said: “We take each game as it comes, and I’m not interested in anything else apart from the game against Tamworth on Saturday.

“It’s going to be a very tough game because Tamworth are fighting for their lives.

“We approach each game the same, it doesn’t matter who we play.”

Experienced defender Jimmy O’Connor returned to match fitness against Blyth Spartans on Saturday, and Eustace praised the impact of the influential former Walsall and Doncaster Rovers man ahead of the match against Tamworth.

“He’s experienced and has played at a very high level, and in such a young group it’s vital that we have good experienced players around,” Eustace added.

“You can see the difference that he’s made since he’s come back in the last two games, he’s had two fantastic games.”
