Harriers will face Chester FC in league action during the upcoming 2018/19 campaign, after the team from the Deva Stadium suffered relegation from the National League last term.
A phoenix club formed following the winding up of Chester City in 2010, Chester FC began life with three promotions in their first three seasons to reach the Conference Premier ahead of the 2013/14 season.
The Cheshire outfit spent a total of five seasons in English football’s fifth tier, meeting Harriers in the league a total of six times.
The first of those meetings was a 3-1 Aggborough victory for Harriers in 2013, but three draws and two wins for Chester followed before Harriers’ relegation during the 2015/16 season.
Despite this, Harriers have faced Chester as recently as the 2017/18 season in the FA Cup Fourth Qualifying Round, winning 2-0 thanks to goals from Emmanuel Sonupé and Joe Ironside.
It was overall a difficult season for Chester, ending the season in 23rd position with 37 points.
Ahead of the new season, title winning managers Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley were appointed as joint-managers to lead the club next season.
The duo finished top of the National League North with Salford City last season as The Ammies gained promotion.
