Guiseley AFC will play their league football in the National League North during the 2018/19 season.

Founded in 1909, The Lions’ spent three seasons in England’s fifth tier after gaining promotion during the 2014/15 season, playing Chorley in the play-off final.

This season was in fact their fifth consecutive qualification for the promotion play-offs, and at half time, Chorley lead 2-0. However a dramatic second half comeback sealed a 3-2 victory, assuring promotion to the National League.

The side from West Yorkshire’s first two seasons at that level went to the wire, avoiding relegation by just one point on both occasions, however The Lions were unable to avoid the drop during the 2017/18 season, finishing the season at the foot of the table on 33 points.

Ahead of the 2018/19 season, the Nethermoor outfit appointed former Harrier Marcus Bignot and Russ O’Neill as joint managers.
