FA Cup reflections from Harriers boss Neil MacFarlane...

NEIL MacFarlane insisted progress in the Emirates FA Cup against Atherstone Town on Saturday was the most important thing after his team’s 5-0 win.

Harriers put their visitors to the sword with a dominant display at Aggborough.

And while a clinical and professional performance produced a raft of goals and chances, the gaffer said after the final whistle that ensuring the team got its name into the hat for the Third Qualifying Round was the biggest positive of the day.

“The performance was as it has been all season,” the boss told our YouTube channel.

“The energy levels and enthusiasm, married to some fantastic football, was there.

“Credit to Atherstone as well; they came to play, which was really pleasing, and it was a really entertaining football match.

“The most important aspect of it was making sure we were in the hat for the next round.

“We treated the game properly and our attitude and application to it was brilliant.”
