Academy Action: 24th October

Stay up to date with this week’s Harriers Academy action…

A total of four matches will be taking place this week for Academy teams – the week beginning at Baxter College.

Our Midland Floodlit Youth League side took to the pitch at Baxter College on Monday evening taking on Tividale, winning 1-0 thanks to a back post header from Marcus Jones.

The victory meant Harriers sit in third position in the league after six matches, with games in hand on Solihull Moors and Sutton Coldfield Town, who sit in first and second positions respectively.

Tuesday saw our U23s travel to face a strong Oxford United side in a friendly taking place at Marsh Lane, the home of Oxford City.

Shane Lowth opened the scoring with an emphatic volley after 20 minutes, but goals after 65 and 85 minutes from The U’s sealed their 2-1 victory.

Two matches will be taking place on Wednesday afternoon, both against Romulus.

Our National League U19s Youth Alliance team will travel to face The Roms in league action, and additionally, our ECFA Premier League team will face face another of the Castle Vale outfit’s young teams in a friendly at COSE, which is a 1pm kick off.

Good luck to all of our Academy teams in action this week!
