Ladies fire five past Kingfisher

Ladies continue strong League start…

Harriers maintained their strong start to the season with a 5-0 league victory against Kingfisher.

In the match at COSE, the home side were forced into making a number of changes to their starting lineup, but took the lead with 20 minutes on the clock.

A good passing move found Sophie Richards striding into the box, who slotted past the keeper.

A well taken goal by Amber Lawrence grabbed the second soon after and, with Harriers dominating the game, a third came just before half time – a well struck shot from edge of box from Chanelle Mason curled into the bottom corner.

On a difficult pitch, Harriers continued to display fine quality into the second half, which paid off as they made it 4-0 – a powerful shot from just inside the box by Kirsty Roberts.

The win was sealed with a fifth which arrived through a great run by Amber Quick, beating two three players and firing in to the bottom corner from Amber Quick.

The Ladies’ attention now turns to Sunday’s SSE Women’s FA Cup First Round Proper encounter as the host Wolves Women at Aggborough.

A 2pm kick off, all support for our Ladies is greatly appreciated!
