Kevin Poole says he’s enjoying his time at Aggborough after joining as part of the club’s backroom team.
Poole, a goalkeeper of over 500 senior appearances and with coaching experience in the Championship, officially began work at the club last week.
He had, however, been taken the opportunity to get to know the playing and management staff at Aggborough beforehand and is very positive about what’s in place at Aggborough.
He knows the nuts and bolts of football are much the same at whatever level you’re working and is relishing getting “stuck in” to his time with the club.
“I’ve been working here for a couple of weeks now and I’ve got to know the lads,” he said.
“They are a great bunch and I am just coming in, trying to help and put my experiences over from my career.
“It’s a case of ‘football is football’ and, whatever league you’re in, it’s still the same game.
“I’m really looking forward to getting stuck into it. it’s a great set-up and there’s great character in the dressing room.”
Harriers welcome Brackley Town to Aggborough in National League North this coming weekend.
It’s a game in which the Reds are keen to put to bed a rocky recent run of form.
On that front, Poole added: “In the last few games I’ve seen, we’ve not had the luck, really.
“Hopefully that will turn; you get one little bit of luck and hopefully the form and results will turn.”
