Mark Yates is keen to ensure Harriers “finish the season properly” after returning to the club as Manager.
Yates, twice a former player at Aggborough and or manager between 2006 and 2009, was appointed manager until the end of the season on Monday.
He set about the task immediately by taking training and is clear in his focus about the 14 games Harriers have left in the National League North season.
Speaking first and exclusively to the club’s YouTube channel, he said: “I am delighted to be able to come in and help.
“This is a proper football club and hopefully we can finish the season properly.
“I want to put my stamp on it for the remainder of the season and we’ll see what happens…” Mark Yates
“We are where we are, and I can’t do anything about the last 28 games, but I’ve come into a club that’s two points outside the play-offs.
“Teams have got a game in hand perhaps, but we’ve got 14 games to try and, ultimately, get in amongst it.
“There are a lot of good players here and it is a club close to my heart – I want to come in and put my stamp on it for the remainder of the season and we’ll see what happens.”
