With cold weather conditions setting in during the week, a number of Academy matches were victims.
Matches for our Midland Floodlit Youth League; ECFA Championship Div B, ECFA Championship Div C and ECFA Football League teams were all postponed this week.
However, Wednesday afternoon’s match between Harriers’ National League U19s team and Stratford Town is set to go ahead at COSE, a 2pm kick off.
Away from Academy match action, Academy striker Jaiden White started for the England Colleges National Team against Australia Colleges on Monday.
16 year old White progressed successfully through two sets of trials to reach the National Team, which consists of young footballers from across the country, and featured in this week’s match taking place at Milton Keynes College.
Over the previous weekend, U23s players Milan Butterfield and Harry Higginson were once again involved in first team action, both making appearances from the substitutes bench against Alfreton Town.
The former made his way onto the pitch during the first half, with the latter playing for the majority of the second half.
Additionally, second year Academy striker Reiss Taylor-Randle was included in the match day squad.
So far this season, Academy and U23s players have appeared in first team squads a total of 22 times in league and FA Cup action.
