Johnson ready for run-in

Johnson opens up in programme interview for Spennymoor Town game…

Kidderminster Harriers' Ryan Johnson

Ryan Johnson is hoping Harriers fans can help push the team over the line in their chase for a play-off spot this season.

Harriers have just eight games left to play, starting with the visit of Spennymoor Town to Aggborough on Saturday.

While they are a few points adrift of the top seven, defender Johnson remains confident the team can achieve its goals – with the help of the Aggborough faithful.

Speaking in an exclusive interview for Saturday’s match day programme, Johnson admitted he’s enjoying his football just now, and feels he’s improved in recent months.

He commented: “My season started a bit rocky, but I think that, in recent weeks, I’ve really simplified my game and become more reliable with a bit more steel.

“I just want to continue that on to the end of the season and help the team as much as I can. Ups and downs are just part of football, but it’s about how you react to that.

“The fans only want the best for the club, and I understand that – to be fair, in recent weeks, they’ve been excellent, and I hope that continues.

“They want to enjoy coming on a Saturday or a Tuesday and watching their team perform, and hopefully get three points.”
