Academy Action: 25th-29th March 2019

Eight matches taking place in a busy Academy week…

A very busy week is upon us as far as Academy matches are concerned, with a total of eight matches taking place throughout the week.

On Monday, Harriers faced a tough test against Milton Keynes College in the ECFA Premier Cup Semi-Final at COSE.

Harriers got an early opener through Reiss Taylor-Randle, but conceded five minutes from time to see the match enter extra time, where Cian Fenlon netted to see the team through to the final, which will be at Bescot Stadium on 1st May.

Also on Monday, Harriers took on Leamington in the National League U19s Alliance as they looked to close the eight point gap on leaders Tamworth, and won 11-0.

The impressive win included hat tricks from Tom Smith and Itai Allen, as well as a brace from Myles Brooks.

It is, in fact, the first of two National League U19s Alliance matches – Harriers will travel to face Racing Club Warwick on Wednesday.

Three more Academy matches will be taking place on Wednesday; our ECFA Championship Div B team face Hartpury College, our ECFA Championship Div C team face City Of Wolverhampton College, our ECFA Football League team face Newcastle Under Lyme – all are 2pm kick offs at COSE.

Additionally at COSE on Wednesday, our U23s take on Moors Academy in a 12pm friendly.

The final match of the week takes place on Friday as our ECFA Championship Div B team are again in action, this time against North Shropshire College at COSE.
