HARRIERS again tasted home defeat courtesy of a 1-0 reverse against Alfreton Town at Aggborough.
Dominic Smith nodded home the only goal of the game in the first half, capitalising on a switch-off at a corner.
Bar sub Ben Tomlinson clipping the post late on, Harriers dominated virtually the entirety of the rest of the encounter, but couldn’t find a leveller.
Reduced to a few chances in the first half, the home side went closer after the break, with Ashley Chambers, Milan Butterfield and Alex Prosser all having attempts.
The best chance of the day for the Reds, however, fell to Correy Davidson, who fired just wide when through on goal.
Alfreton were reduced to ten men in the final couple of minutes as Tomlinson was shown two yellows in a matter of 90-odd seconds, but Alfreton held on for their win.
